    Welcome to IDFC2016!

    IDFC is the first student conference between Myanmar and Japan. We provide a 6-day long intensive program in Myanmar, designed to make a social impact and to connect the very best youth leaders in Myanmar and Japan.

    Meet today's leaders

    Seminars will invite leading experts and practitioners on community development and provide an opportunity for participants to learn from their personal experience.

    FIELD WORK

    Learn from hands-on experience

    There will be tasks prepared for the participants to accomplish in the field. In the live interaction with the people in Myanmar, you will explore the beauty and the warmth of the community. Also the participants will face various difficulties in accomplishing the task.

    WORKSHOP

    Get toolbox to take action

    We will host workshops for the participants to accomplish their tasks successfully. Professionals from JICA etc. will host workshops for interviewing and presentations.

    Put your ideas into action

    The highlights of the IDFC2016 will be Myanmar and Japan Youth Leaders Symposium, which will be led by participants to share their learnings, skills, and ideas in community development with 100+ youths in Myanmar.

    Mandalay

     

    IDFC 2016 is happening in Mandalay!
    The second-largest city in a country, is considered the centre of the country's cultural heart. It was the capital in pre-colonial times and still is a home to a lot of traditional performers and artists, and to monasteries.


    We plan to hold a symposium at the University of Mandalay (left photo) in the last day of the camp.

    Our Foundation

    Why We Started IDFC

    As the official event of "60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and Japan" recognized by the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar, IDFC was founded in April 2014 by youths in Myanmar and Japan. We succeeded to implement 1st IDFC in December 2014 in Yangon.
